Become an Age Friendly Ambassador

Could you be an Age-Friendly Ambassador for Cornwall?

As we work to becoming an Age Friendly Community, a place where live well and age well, we are looking for Ambassadors to help shape our work.

If you are aged 50 and this is your chance to have a real say in the decisions and services that affect you and those you care about, and to help spread the message that getting older in Cornwall can be a positive experience.

What does the role involve?

The Ambassador role is flexible,  you can give as much or as little time as suits you. As an Ambassador, you might:

•       Share age-positive messages with friends, family and your community

•       Give feedback on services, plans and decisions affecting older people in Cornwall

•       Take part in consultations and events

•       Attend optional Age Friendly Cornwall Forum meetings

•       Help recruit and encourage other older people to get involved

Being an Ambassador is rewarding. You will:

•       Have your voice heard by the people making decisions about Cornwall

•       Connect with other passionate people across the county

•       Receive training, support and regular updates from the Age Friendly Cornwall team

•       Gain a sense of purpose and contribute to something that matters
